The BluffBot computer program : a serious competitor for human players ?

The “BluffBot 2.0” software program, specially designed for Limit Hold’em poker, has recently won a No Limit tournament between computers in Canada.

Developed by Teppo Salonen, a Finnish player living in the USA, the special ability of the “BluffBot 2.0” program is to be capable of alternating between a large number of bluffs with frequent changes of bets.

According to its designers, Bluffbot has not achieved the highest average bankroll and its performance is similar to that of a semi-pro. Its currently limited abilities do not represent a serious danger for experienced poker players.
