The organisers of the European Poker Challenge have been jailed in Sweden for organising a tournament without government authorisation.
The event had attracted 700 players but was interrupted by the police before it even started.
The Swedish government is thus demonstrating its resolve faced with the rising popularity of poker in its territory and against the organisation of poker tournaments outside of the casinos.
