An armed robbery in the basement of a New York poker club ended with the death of a player present in the club in the Flatiron district of Manhattan.
Once inside the building, the thieves started robbing the players and stealing the money spread out on the tables.
Fifty-five year-old Frank DeSena was killed when one of the robbers dropped his gun, which went off accidentally. After the break-in and shooting, the thieves left with an estimated haul of $100,000.
The police are continuing to interview witnesses and analyse the security cameras, as they believe that one of the thieves may have played in the club during the two weeks that it has been open.
