Cheating suspected in the Absolute Poker room

The online poker room Absolute Poker is in a very difficult position, suspected of internal cheating.

The controversy first appeared in Great Britain in posts on the Twoplustwo and Casino Meister forums and was widely reported in the media.

Suspicion now falls on certain internal “users” or hackers which allegedly had access to certain “superuser” accounts, allowing them to see their opponents’ cards. Such accounts are normally reserved for designers of the software.

Given the gravity of the event, the online poker room has not yet given a public reaction. Absolute Poker has settled for freezing the accounts in question and has ordered a technical support team to carry out its own inquiry.
