Second Life outlaws gaming

Linden Lab, the creator of Second Life, has been hit hard by its decision to close down all games of chance for money in its virtual world.

Since the launch of Second Life, the American government has been unable to control or tax online gaming in the virtual world in which numerous British operators have opened casinos, paying fees and rents for their virtual sites.

Today, many of these entrepreneurs have lost their investments which add up to several thousand or even million dollars and there is a huge outcry over this “brutal and unjust” decision.

These companies reproach Linden Lab for having taken their money whilst American law prohibits online gambling.
