The online betting world has undergone significant expansion in recent times and Unibet has revealed its results for the third quarter of 2008. Although its performance has improved in certain areas, there are also causes for concern in other sectors.
We have thus learnt that the number of active Unibet users has risen sharply with almost 7,000 new customers compared to last year, giving a total of nearly 264,000.
The net income for the third quarter and the first nine months of the year has also risen significantly, which is certainly due to Unibet’s expansion in the Eastern and Southern European markets.
However, the net profits for the first nine months of the year have fallen dramatically by nearly10 million dollars (15.1 compared to 25.5 million dollars in 2007).
The same can be said for the before and after-tax profits for the third quarter, which are significantly down this year.
