The Kentucky Court prosecutes online gaming sites

Steve Beshear, the Governor of Kentucky, has issued a request to the State of Kentucky demanding the blockage of the domain names of numerous online gaming operators, including PokerStars and Full-Tilt Poker, with a view to protecting the interests of the State.

The witch-hunt against online gaming continues in the United States. This time, the attacks are directly aimed at the domain names of online casinos and poker sites. Any operators that continue to accept American customers are affected by this move.

This involves many of the big names in the sector, such as Full-Tilt Poker, PokerStars, Ultimate Bet, Doyle’s Room and Bodog. In total, 141 sites are affected, but sites that obey the law (such as Bwin and Chilipoker) are not concerned.

However, the operators have already planned their response to such legal action. Many of them have domain names registered in other countries and therefore consider themselves to be unaffected.

The biggest names in the industry will, however, send their lawyers to Kentucky in an attempt to bring this case to a satisfactory conclusion.
