Online gaming: Antigua gets tough with the USA !

The island of Antigua is threatening to take action against American intellectual property rights in a protest against the American attitude to online gaming which contradicts the principles of the World Trade Organisation.

Paradoxically, while expressing its dissatisfaction about the American monopoly, Antigua is turning a blind eye to the abuses committed by the online casinos situated on its own territory.

Indeed, online casinos based in Antigua are offering three-card poker to American players, in violation of American intellectual property rights.

Following abuses of these rights, some 100 million dollars have been won at the expense of American players.
