English poker clubs complain to the High Court of London

Poker circles have reacted to the “Gambling Act” - a new British government bill concerning gambling for money - and petitioned the High Court of London.

The English Association of Poker Circles has denounced this new law limiting the amount that clubs can charge for membership fees and the freezing of prize-money offered to players, not to mention the obligation to obtain a casino licence – a costly and complicated process !

This legal measure is intended to put a stop to the British government’s plans which favour casinos to the detriment of poker circles.
