Gaming monopoly: a new 2-month reprieve for France

France has benefited from an additional reprieve, giving it up to 29th October to find a compromise with the European Union over its sports betting policy.

However, France must make its arguments felt if it is to come to an agreement with the European Union. If no agreement is reached, the case will be referred to the European Community’s Court of Justice and could result in a conviction for France.
