Do Yahoo and Google have a vendetta against online gambling?

Yahoo and Google are refusing to allow casinos or online poker rooms to advertise on their respective websites.

Google, the internet search giant, refused to allow Sky TV to carry out an advertising campaign featuring a link towards an online poker page using the Google Adwords network.

Likewise, Yahoo Search Marketing has followed Google’s example and has informed its advertisers that it will no longer accept any advertisements containing gambling invitations, mentions of prize money or any other incitements to gamble.

Yahoo’s position does not appear to be completely impartial, given that the company has recently launched an online poker platform on the British market.

But observers are unanimous in recognizing the paradox of this decision, because people in the hard pornography business can easily buy advertising space that will appear on the world’s biggest search engines!
