Bwin wins its court cases in Germany and Austria

Two German and Austrian courts have recognized Bwin’s right to do business in complete legality.

The Austrian law courts (Vienna commercial courts) have thrown out the action brought by Omnia Communication-Centers GmbH to outlaw the casino games and poker tournaments organized by the online gaming company Bwin.

Furthermore, the action brought by the state of Bavaria in Germany to ban Bwin from accepting bets placed by Bavarian residents, on the grounds that it is “technically impossible to screen its players”, has been thrown out by Munich’s administrative court.

The decisions of both of these courts will allow Bwin to continue trading in complete legality.
