Bwin pays up on behalf of Real Madrid

The Spanish club Real Madrid has been heavily fined for wearing the normal flock shirt of its sponsor Bwin.com in the Champions League at Bremen.

However, the sponsorship contract agreed between Real Madrid and the Austrian bookmaker stipulates that Bwin is responsible for paying any such fines.

Last year, Real Madrid was faced with the same problem at a friendly match against Hanover when it decided to wear the shirt of its official sponsor Bwin.com.
