Betfair is all set for its French launch

Mark Davies, the President of Betfair, has announced in an interview that his group is ready to take on the challenge of doing business in France.

The President of the British gambling website Betfair was describing the conditions for launching his business in France while the French government examines ways of opening up its online gaming industry to the competition.

Mr. Davies declared that he is prepared to accept the French taxation system, pay for a licence, help to finance sporting activities, combat money-laundering and prevent gambling by minors.

He simply hopes that the rules will be the same for everyone and that the proposed economic framework will allow them to be competitive. That could be complicated given the restrictions demanded by France.
