Betclick is bought out by the ex-boss of Endemol France

Stéphane Courbit, the former CEO of Endemol France (and the producer of shows such as Loft Story, Secret Story and Star Academy) is on the verge of buying out Betclick Limited, which publishes the sports betting website Betclick.

Stéphane Courbit, the famous French TV producer and currently head of the investment fund Mangas Capital, is close to clinching a new deal to buy out the British bookmaker Betclick, one of the major players in sports betting in France.

Based in London, Betclick.com holds a licence awarded by the British authorities which allows it to offer sports betting opportunities (football, tennis, rugby, basketball and cricket) on its website, along with poker and casino games (slot machines, black jack, roulette, etc.), for money.

Having made 450 million euros in capital gains from selling Endemol France to the Spanish group Telefonica in 2006, Stéphane Courbit now has an investment capacity of about one billion euros, according to financial analysts.
